Got Me Thinking…

how life can teach us about life

About the Blog

The idea for got me thinking started in 2012 when I did a week long trip with Jewish Farm School to Philadelphia. I had started a blog for that summer and thought I’d just be chronicling what I did each day, but that seemed odd and self-indulgent. But there were so many things I was learning that I wanted to share, and many of them seemed interconnected. I realized that I was using my own experience as a source to help teach me about my own ideas, life, and the world.  Drawing from sacred texts to learn lessons is called a D’var Torah in Hebrew, so I like to think of these as d’var experiences.  Using our lives as text, we can enrich ourselves and each other.
